Springs have been important to people since ancient times, places considered sacred. People sensed the energy of springs and, even unconsciously, felt drawn towards them. I also had two very dear springs as a child, places I retreated to and whose magical and nourishing atmosphere I greatly enjoyed.
This painting is inspired by springs, and something magical, even sacred, has been captured in it.
